Technical detail — cooling circuit optimisation for the S55:
The 3.0-litre S55B30 turbo engine (BMW M2 Competition/M3/M4) uses an indirect intercooler circuit (low-temperature circuit) in which charge air is cooled by separate cooling water. The temperature of this water is the critical factor for engine performance. The Wagner Tuning Competition water cooler kit addresses this bottleneck: the 89% volume expansion of the front cooler massively reduces the temperature of the cooling water, allowing the ECU to constantly call up higher power — essential especially in tuned vehicles (Stage 1, 2, 3) and on the racetrack.
